Longtime user first time caller.
This used to be the MPV of hairbrushes. Never on the bench always in use. However a slight change seems to have occurred between purchases and whilst definitely still gold standard it has slipped a few rings down. Good but not great. Probably still leading the pack but only marginally.

Not the original quality
Our household has about 12 Lady Jayne brushes. I bought the newer version (blue and yellow) of this brush recently. The packaging leaves the bristles deformed.
The previous versions (clear pink and clear purple) shattered when dropped. Our white one snapped in half while brushing. The pink (solid pink) lost most of the pink tips, as did some of the others, in less than a month of use but it didn't bother me too much.
The best Lady Jayne brush is the one I got given to me in the 1980's. I wish they would go back to using the original old style plastic.

Dissapointed
I purchased 3 of the large brushes for my daughters and it’s been 4 weeks and one has split down the middle and the other two have had most of their balls come off the tips. This makes the brush really rough on the scalp. Very dissapointed for the price. I have had these in the past and haven’t had a problem I guess the quality has gone down!

Two broken in a month
I've always loved this brush but after dropping it on the bathroom floor and it breaking I went to buy another. It broke the first time I used it. Took it back and it was replaced however the replacement then broke in another two weeks. Very disappointed

Great brush but didnt last
I bought this brush a month and a half ago and the pink tips on top of the bristles started to come off after the first use. The brush didnt last too long and I have to invest in a new one now.
Very disappointed.

a little disappointing
I bought this brush in October this year and although it does as is stated, feels good in your had, a pretty colour, detangles well but the little pink things on the ends of the bristles are falling of. I don’t blow dry my hair so it’s not due to heat and the brush is put neatly away in a draw after use.

Unhappy not made like used be used twice only!!
Used twice, never dropped! Not made like they used to be, Bristol started coming out from the edge before splitting and cracking no sign of dropping literally disintegrated in my hand. I have bought these brushes many times in the last 30 years, and they have never done this

Brushes snap and shatter
I've been using Lady Jayne brushes for 40 years. Over this last decade their quality has deteriorated so much because of the plastic they now use. They shatter if dropped on a floor, table or sink. In our household of 5 people we had 2 more brushes break this week. Pink one snapped as I was brushing and I don't brush hard as I have long thin delicate hair.

Poor quality
I bought this brush earlier this year from the chemist and it has completely snapped in half while using it to brush my dry hair. I bought this brand as I had previously had the same style brush for around 10 years and never had an issue with it except for general wear and tear expected over such a long period of time.
I'm seriously disappointed with the quality now, it's obviously gone very downhill.

Breakage
I have bought several brushes both large and small. All lose the beads on end of bristles early but then within six month the handle snaps or chunks disintegrate from the sides.

So disappointed
I’ve been a loyal customer for over 20 years to this brush despite the brittle hand issue.
I bought 5 brushes this March and April for myself and my daughters and after seeing some poor reviews I made sure I bought them from 5 different local suppliers.
After just 3-4 months of use every single brush is missing more than half of the nodes on the end of the bristle! So the brush now scrapes your scalp. Gutted as I still have one small brush from 2000 in my purse which is in better condition than the new ones.
As I removed the built up hair from a weeks brushing I watched several nodes come away with the hair - indicating they are poorly attached.
As a solo parent family a brush of $17 per family member is a huge expense but because we all have such different hair we stuck with Lady Jayne as until the last few years the quality was so worth it.
Guess it’s back to the drawing board to find another quality brush that won’t fall apart or scratch our heads after a few months.

I love these brushes, but they snap too easily.
I've bought FIVE of these brushes in the last 6 months (there are 3 females in the family). They snap so easily, sometimes while using, and other times just after being dropped on carpet. I've given them a good go but will no longer be buying Lady Jayne products

Hair Brushes
Can I just say I have three of these brushes. Two have broken after being dropped on the bathroom floor, and chipped really bad. To the point my aqua one snapped in half, and my pink ones are totally chipped at the end of the handle. Badly need to fix what their made out of. As Ive always bought Lady Jane hair brushes, these look pretty, but chip and break really easy.

Terrible quality!
I have always used LJ brushes. I bought two new detangling brushes for myself as well as 3 for 3 of my granddaughters. 2 broke within a month and now the 3rd had broken! NOT HAPPY LADY JAYNE!! Perhaps a review of my lifelong love affair with your brushes needs looking into!!!

Falling apart
I am dissapointed as I purchased three of the large brushes and all three have had the tips of the bristles fall off which makes the brush hard on the scalp. One has had the bristles falling out! So dissapointed!!

A VERY DISAPPOINTING PRODUCT
I got this hairbrush for Christmas and it was perfect for my hair, though 2 weeks later it broke in my hand!! It was extremely disappointing because it worked so well. I managed to glue it back together. Alittle bit later it broke again when I dropped it on the floor! Again I glued it back together, but a little bit later it fell apart when I just had it sitting next to me in the car!! Again I glued it but now I'm too nervous to use it in case it brakes again.

Worst quality brush and customer service
My wife bought this brush a couple of months ago after using cheap brushes for probably 20-30 years. She thought she'd go out and spoil herself and buy a good brush from a reputable brand over the years. All was good until she accidently knocked it of the vanity bench and it smashed in half on the tile floor. She contacted Lady Jayne Aust to query the quality and poor strength of the product and found them to be unsympathetic and most unhelpful. So we super glued it back together! Fast forward another month and this time the brush just snapped whilst brushing her hair. We can't believe the extremely poor quality and lack of toughness in what we thought would be a brush that would last many years to come.
